We are Wellington's most active dive club with 5 dives scheduled each week. We have club dives Thursday evenings (1 dive) from 5:45pm and weekends (2 dives) from 9am every week, or we can organise private guided dives.
We like to chill out underwater, blow bubbles, observe the marine life and take photos. After the dives we like to hang out and catch up with our divers. We also run regular club dive & BBQ's, quiz nights and other social activities to connect with our dive community.
We have a marine reserve along the south coast of Wellington that is our first choice for a dive. Wellington diving is very weather dependent. We are a temperate dive location with water temperatures of 15-17 degrees Celsius and visibility of 5-10m in summer. We wear 7mm wetsuits while we go diving. Our sites are rocky reefs covered in seaweed with sponges and anemones adding colour. We can also dive in the harbour looking for seahorses, skate and other critters. We dive from shore with most of our dives ~6-15m deep.
Not a diver? Our standard PADI Open Water Dive Courses start every two weeks.
Not dived in a while? We can offer the PADI ReActivate program in either the pool or the sea or you can hire a guide for your dives.
Our keen instructors can provide a full range of PADI dive courses with Advanced Open Water Courses, Rescue Diver, and a wide variety of Specialties including Deep, Night, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Drysuit & Sidemount.
If you are interested in becoming a PADI Dive Professional we run Divemaster Courses year round and Instructor Development Courses twice a year in March & October.
