We will have the opportunity to make the most beautiful dives in the province of Reggio Calabria, both on the lower Ionian side, and along the Costa Viola of the Tyrrhenian side, and in the Strait of Messina. Thanks to the favorable position in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica - on the Ionian Sea, at the entrance to a highway that leads to the Tyrrhenian Sea - we will be able to reach the diving sites of both Calabrian sides with the diving minibuses. This also allows us to never miss diving, choosing the side with optimal weather and sea conditions.
The types of dives that can be carried out are manifold, from the historical wrecks to the sheer walls in the blue where colorful caves open, but also suggestive shallows that emerge from the blue of the Strait of Messina. Wreck lovers have at their disposal some of the most fascinating dives in the Mediterranean: the famous Laura C, the Pasubio with its rudder, the Cosala, the submarine Admiral Millo, the factory ship Rigoletto, the imposing armed cargo Valfiorita, only for name a few. Many of these ships are intact and, despite the high depth that some reach, they are often accessible from the shore. The walls and shallows of the Tyrrhenian side of the Costa Viola, which stretches along the Reggio coast from Bagnara to Scilla, are truly exciting, with their sparkling colors and a very rich biodiversity.
