Description

Join Simon Lorenz from Insider Divers on a Photography Dive Trip to the Socorro Islands.

The Revillagigedos of Mexico often referred to collectively as 'Socorro' guarantee interactions with dolphins and sharks, as well as pelagic manta rays of up to 6m which get cleaned by large orange Damsel fish, a worldwide unique sight. The spring months April to June are warmer, have longer days, the water is a bit warmer and generally the seas should be smoother. The animals seen are similar throughout the season, but spring is considered sharkier and there is good chance for observing bait balls.

Other Information

Good to know

  • Nautilus Liveaboards is one of the big players in Northern America. The Undersea is a sturdy vessel, famous for its time in Cocos Island. It has less room than most boats in Socorro, making the experience more private. With all rooms having private bathroom and individual aircon control, there is nothing left to desire for. Of course, the rooms are not huge. But enough space for your things and a good bathroom
  • There is an option on a premium Suite with large windows and a king bed, let me know if you are interested in that

Logistics

  • We depart from Cabo San Lucas Mexico on 23rd May 2020 in the afternoon. After the crossing that will take around 24h to the first site we will be diving 3 to 4 times a day, on all hot spots of Socorro, such as Roca Partida, Socorro Island and San Benedicto with the world-famous El Boiler. We return to Cabo San Lucas on 31st May 2020
