WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
OceanQuest Year built 1988/Renovated 2017, has 23 cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms, TV and air-conditioning. Split over 3 decks, there is plenty of space for relaxation in the air-conditioned lounge and bar area, dining room and sun decks.
Aboard the Ocean Quest Liveaboard Divers have the option to experience The Great Barrier Reef at night in a whole new way with Fluoro Night Diving This spectacular dive extravaganza uses specialist torches and mask filters to bring the reef to life in a range of amazing fluorescent colours. Fluoro Diving offers a truly unique and magical experience on the Great Barrier Reef!
When the sun goes down there’s another treat in store, as we jump in for a dive with one of the reef’s most amazing residents – the shark! Our nightly sharks in the dark experience is included in the cost of your liveaboard and is sure to impress even the most experienced of divers.
spend your surface intervals on our LARGE LOUNGE DECK. Here YOU CAN RELAX, EXCHANGE STORIES AND PHOTOS WITH YOUR DIVE BUDDIES, READ A BOOK OR SIMPLY TAKE A SIESTA while you top up your tan.
Onboard OceanQuest you’ll also find our well stocked bar area. Refurbished in 2017, this offers a comfy place to relax and chill out after an amazing day of diving.
Between our sun decks, your large cabins, the dining area and our bar there is plenty of room for everyone to relax, meaning the vessel never feels crowded even when fully booked.
All meals are included while onboard, however, please note that alcoholic beverages and addition snacks such as crisps/chips and cookies must be paid for.

MENU, CUISINE TYPE...
Food is taken seriously on Cairns' Ocean Quest, with both breakfast and lunch being served buffet style. Breakfast consists of bacon, sausages, eggs, breads and cereals. Dinner is served to you at the table, with second servings available. Don’t worry you’ll get dessert too – this is served after your night dive. Lunch and dinner normally consist of a meat or seafood main course with Sides like vegetables pasta, rice and potatoes. What is served depends on what our chef has dreamed up that day, but whatever it is it’s sure to be delicious!
Chef's check on arrival if guests have any dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten Free, and can cater to such needs. However we do recommend letting us know in advance for ease of ordering food. (OceanQuest cannot cater to Vegans, only vegetarians. Vegetarian is the best They can really do in the middle of the ocean with 48 passengers. Please bring extra snacks for in between meal options.)
How to get there
You will be picked up from your Cairns hotel at approximately 07:45 hrs. Departures from Cairns are daily, with speedboat SeaQuest where you will select your equipment and do a couple dives before transferring to the liveaboard Ocean Quest at approx. 14:30 on arrival day
