Designed by renowned marine architect W. de Vries Lentsch and built by skilled Dutch craftsmen, NAI'A was completely refitted in 1993, 2000 and again in 2010 and is a flaship Fijian liveboard sailing the South Pacific.
The boat carries up to 18 guests with all the creature comforts of a quality, land-based resort, including hot showers and cool staterooms. NAI'A's sophisticated sailing rig affords her the range, comfort and stability of a truly expeditionary vessel.
Jean-Michel Cousteau has been quoted as calling Fiji the “Soft Coral Capital of the World” and it is here that he created his first dive resort.
Three hundred and ninety species of Soft and Hard Corals plus over 1200 fish species have created what may be the most Colorful Reefs in the World. An underwater topography that has Caverns, Canyons, Swim-throughs, incredible Wall Dives, and frequent Shark Encounters entices Divers from the palm lined beaches of white sand. Fiji is the perfect Pacific Island Dive Safari Adventure.
Good to know
NAI'A's impressive layout, custom built for liveaboard diving, provides accommodation for 18 passengers in 9 spacious, air-conditioned Staterooms with private en-suite heads. All the Staterooms were entirely rebuilt in 2010 and are larger than those on most dive vessels with plenty of stowage for gear. They are bright, airy, and comfortable and have both 110v and 220v power. The boat has 4 cabin types, king bed (only suitable for couples), king bed with bunk bed over the foot of the bed (mostly used for couples), king bed that splits into singles (for single travellers), bunk beds feet over feet (for single travellers). However, the boat operator will make the cabin assignment before the trip according to the composition of the group.
While the Main Saloon is perhaps the most eye-catching feature, with its golden grains of native Fijian hardwoods, the serious Diver will appreciate the thoughtful layout of the roomy Dive Deck, complete with a dedicated dry camera and video room to suit even the most discriminating Photographer.
Delicious and beautifully prepared meals of locally-grown produce
All meals are made with fresh produce, meats and fresh fish and await the hungry Diver with a widely varied parade of delights served from the galley by the Chefs. International cuisine - breakfast, lunch, and dinner with wine. Waitress service in the Saloon with soup and salad. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, fruit, biscuits and snacks are provided free of charge. Wine (free of charge with dinner, otherwise charged per bottle), beer and spirits are also available. Lunch, dinner and snacks are also provided on the first day of the cruise. All dietary requirements can be catered for - please send notice of your requirements. The operator rates the quality of dining as "excellent" and of "high" importance. There is a fixed menu.
