Amira is a 52-meter wooden Phinisi liveaboard that blends traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with modern safety and comfort.
Built by local shipbuilders and launched in 2010, it offers high-standard diving expeditions across Indonesia’s best destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo, and remote, rarely visited areas.
The vessel accommodates up to 20 guests in 9 double/twin cabins and 2 single cabins spread across the lower and upper decks. Each cabin is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hot shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, ceiling fan, natural light, storage space, towels, toiletries, and power outlets.
Designed with divers in mind, Amira features a spacious dive deck with freshwater showers, personal gear stations, and a large camera room with workstations, charging points, and rinse tanks. Diving includes up to four dives per day, with detailed briefings, Nitrox for certified divers, and ENOS GPS beacons provided. A 5:1 diver-to-guide ratio ensures personalized attention and safety, further supported by advanced navigation and rescue systems onboard.
Comfortable communal areas include a 140 m² sun deck with loungers, a shaded lounge, a cozy indoor salon with a bar, TV, and fish ID library, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The onboard restaurant serves freshly prepared meals daily, including buffet lunches and plated dinners featuring Indonesian, Western, and BBQ dishes. Snacks, tea, coffee, and juices are available throughout the day, while soft drinks and beer can be purchased separately. Dietary preferences are accommodated with advance notice.
Additional activities such as snorkeling, land excursions (depending on itinerary), fish identification sessions, and photo sharing add to the experience. A professional, friendly crew creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring each guest enjoys a safe and memorable journey through some of the world’s richest marine ecosystems.
