Mermaid I is a 28-meter twin-engine steel motor yacht, designed with divers’ comfort in mind.
Known for professionalism, reliability, an exceptional crew, and meticulous yearly maintenance, Mermaid I has earned a reputation as one of the world’s leading liveaboards. With years of experience meeting divers’ expectations, Mermaid Liveaboards takes guests to the finest dive sites across Indonesia. In addition to the iconic Bali–Komodo–Bali cruises, itineraries include Raja Ampat, Ambon, Banda Sea, Alor, Lembeh, Halmahera, Togian Islands, Forgotten Islands, Ring of Fire, and more.
The yacht accommodates up to 15 guests in one Master Stateroom with a king-size bed, one Single Cabin, four Deluxe Cabins that can be arranged as king or twin, and two Lower Deck Cabins with double or twin beds. All main deck cabins feature en-suite bathrooms, panoramic sea-view windows, and doors opening onto the gangway, while the lower deck cabins are equally comfortable with en-suite bathrooms and direct access to the main deck. Every cabin offers air conditioning, iPads for TV, toiletries, and plenty of soft towels.
Divers enjoy a spacious purpose-built dive deck and a wide stern platform with two ladders and freshwater showers, together with six dedicated camera rinse tanks. Meals are served in the “Sawasdee Restaurant,” with generous Asian and Western options as well as lively BBQ nights. Between dives, guests can relax in the saloon with its multimedia entertainment center and marine library, or unwind on the two outdoor decks, one shaded with comfortable lounge seating and the other a sundeck with cushioned loungers and massage service. Nitrox is available on every cruise.
Mermaid I is currently undergoing an extensive refit that brings significant upgrades throughout the vessel. Two new high-quality dinghies have been added, the upper deck and main deck gangways have been enclosed with new ceilings, lighting, and a loudspeaker safety system, and new SOLAS-approved lifejackets are now located throughout the yacht. Steel work has been reinforced across the upper, main, and lower decks, supported by new bilge and black water tanks, improved plumbing, and a macerator system to reduce waste volume. Interiors have been refreshed with new or beautifully restored flooring, and additional soundproofing has been applied to the rear cabins and engine room using advanced materials. Cabins have been redesigned with individually controlled air conditioning, improved cabinetry for greater space, and newly decorated bathrooms. Guests will also enjoy upgraded soft furnishings in the saloon, eco-friendly Sensatia refillable toiletries, and luxurious hotel-style beds throughout. The upper deck has been fitted with new lounges and sunbeds, creating even more inviting spaces to relax between dives.
With these comprehensive improvements, Mermaid I continues to set the standard for luxury liveaboard diving in Indonesia.
