M/V Mermaid II is a 33-meter twin-engine steel motor yacht and one of the most comfortable dive vessels in Indonesia.
She accommodates up to 20 guests, with 18 in eight deluxe cabins on the main deck and 2 in a lower deck budget cabin. The deluxe cabins offer either a double or twin bed configuration, all with large panoramic sea-view windows, individually controlled air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. The budget cabin features twin bunks, a vanity sink, air conditioning, and shares a bathroom with an adjoining cabin.
The dive facilities are designed with divers in mind, featuring a wide stern platform with two exit ladders and freshwater showers, a spacious dive deck with ample room to gear up, individual gear boxes, camera tables, and plenty of rinse tanks. Guests enjoy fresh towels after every dive and hot chocolate after night dives.
On the main deck, the dining room serves generous buffet-style Asian and Western meals, while the large and inviting saloon offers comfortable lounges, big windows, a bar fridge, and complimentary fresh roast coffee, tea, soft drinks, and juices. Entertainment includes a multimedia center with a large flat-screen TV for briefings and movies, an extensive library, and a wide selection of marine life books.
Two outdoor decks provide space to relax, with a shaded party deck offering cushioned seating around almost the entire deck, and a sun platform in front of the wheelhouse for those who prefer to bask in the sun. Nitrox is available on every cruise.
Mermaid II has also recently undergone significant upgrades at the shipyard to enhance both comfort and safety. The galley has been renewed with sparkling finishes and fireproof walls, while emergency systems have been improved with upgraded lighting, alarms, a loudspeaker system, and new SOLAS-approved lifejackets placed throughout the vessel. All cabins now feature brand-new mattresses and toppers, while the saloon has been refreshed with stunning new soft furnishings. Plush new carpeting has been laid throughout, offering extra comfort after a long day of diving. In keeping with an eco-friendly approach, Sensatia wall-mounted refillable toiletries have been added in the bathrooms.
With these upgrades, Mermaid II continues to combine safety, comfort, and outstanding service to deliver unforgettable liveaboard experiences across Indonesia’s world-class dive destinations.
