With a maximum of just 10 guests on board this liveaboard, the Moana offers you an escape from big groups and guarantees plenty of individual attention in a variety of Dive Crew languages.
She is perfectly equipped to suit Divers to see the best of the Komodo National Park as well as genuinely unknown and pristine dive sites.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The 30 metre KLM Moana Liveaboard was designed in the traditional Indonesian Phinisi style, made entirely of teak and ironwood. This compact Phinisi schooner has 5 air-conditioned cabins all with en-suite showers. There are Three double bed cabins and Two twin bed cabins, all of the beds have spring matresses. Soap and towels are provided in each cabin. The boat may be less than enormous, but is modern and perfectly formed and is a great boat for individuals, groups or families to see the best of Komodo dive region.
On the Upper Deck of the KLM Moana Liveaboard is an air-conditioned Salon and a large deck area to relax in between diving. There are also blankets available for outdoor lovers who want to sleep outside under the stars.
The KLM Moana takes pride in the cuisine offered and food is sourced fresh.
The fruit and vegetables are from organic farmers around the hills of Labuan Bajo/Flores and fresh fish is from local markets. Top quality meat is flown in from Bali on departure days and the KLM Moana Chefs pride themselves on meals being free from MSG and other additives. 4 meals each day are lovingly prepared to sustain you the cuisine will be a blend of Indonesian & International food.
Your day onboard starts with a light and healthy breakfast around 6am. Fresh fruits according to the season (papaya, mango, pineapple, melon), cornflakes, oats, local honey and more is waiting for the early birds. Around 8am, after the first dive, the “real breakfast” will be prepared. We change daily between omelettes, pancakes, breakfast sausages, ham and bacon as well as fresh farmers bread and toast. Buffet style - all you can eat!
Lunch and Dinner varies from Western, Indonesian, International and Asian specialties as the cruise goes on. This good mix of Asian and Western food caters for all desires. 2 courses for lunch and 3 courses for dinner (soup/salad, main, dessert) are served. The portions are suitable for our hungry Divers. On request we also serve Vegetarian meals or special diets – please let us know your food preferences in advance.
Around 3pm we call for a “snack time” where Indonesian snacks such as baked pineapples or fried bananas will be served. Non-alcoholic drinks: Water, CocaCola, Sprite, Coffee and Tea are also included and available all day.

The KLM Moana Liveaboard was custom built for Divers, and will take you to the best of the Komodo National Park, as well as some unknown and pristine dive sites. Around Komodo there are over 50 sites to choose from and have areas to suit every level of experience, whether you have just completed your Open Water course or have years of challenging dives behind you.
