M/V Mermaid II, a formidable 33-meter twin-engine steel motor yacht, stands as one of the most comfortable dive boats in Asia.
She has the capacity to easily host 18 guests in 8 deluxe cabins, in addition to 2 guests in a lower deck budget cabin. The deluxe cabins, situated on the main deck, offer a choice between a double bed or twin bed configuration. Each of these deluxe cabins provides guests with spacious panoramic sea-view windows, individually controlled air conditioning, and ensuite bathrooms. Below deck, the budget cabins feature twin bunks, vanity sinks, air conditioning, and share a bathroom with an adjoining cabin via connecting doors.
There's a generous stern dive platform equipped with two exit ladders and invigorating warm water showers. The dive deck itself is expansive, providing ample space for gearing up, individual storage boxes for dive gear, dedicated camera tables, and numerous rinse tanks. After each dive, guests can relish in the luxury of fresh, fluffy towels, and after night dives, enjoy a comforting cup of hot chocolate.
On the main deck, the dining room is situated at the front, where delectable buffet-style Asian and Western meals are thoughtfully served. The saloon, spacious and inviting, features comfortable lounges, large windows, a bar fridge, and complimentary offerings of fresh roast coffee, tea, soft drinks, and juices. For entertainment and education, there's a multimedia center with a sizable flat-screen TV for briefings and movies, an extensive library, and a comprehensive collection of marine life books.
Two outdoor decks provide options for guests: the shaded party deck, adorned with a cushioned lounge suite that wraps around nearly the entire deck, and the sun platform located in front of the wheelhouse, offering the choice to soak up the sun or seek shelter.
