Travel Resources

A circular from the Ministry about the change in quarantine rules and regulations locally.

1) If you have stayed longer than 1 day in transit prior to boarding any of our boats, you will be requested to show a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 24 hours before boarding. The results need to be shown to our rep at the airport. Also if you have stayed on another boat before joining our fleet

2) Guests who are coming from an island/resort/hotel/guesthouse which has been placed under monitoring while staying there will not be allowed to board even with a test. Split stays will not be approved by MOT in such cases anyway. Guest need to find other alternatives and credit will be given.

3) Guests need to have an insurance covering their hotel expenses if they are placed under quarantine in a government appointed facility in case they test positive but also in case they have been identified as a direct contact and need to quarantine.

4) As the season for going South Maldives is about to start and our concern for lack of adequate test facilities able to provide results in time for those who need to do a Covid test to return home, the boat operator will organize this for them in Male after their return by domestic flight. Tests are available with results within 6 hours at 95 USD p/p which in most cases should be sufficient time before the night flights home.

This information is automatically shown here when we receive it. Please excuse any formatting issues.

Depending on the total number of guests you might be split into two groups for meal timings and dive briefings. Meals will still be prepared in buffet style, but will be served by the chef and other crew members if required. We further request each and every one on board to keep a safe distance of at least 1 meter whenever possible. Crew will be wearing masks when in contact with clients in enclosed spaces. The new guidelines state that “for our crew member to enter your cabin they should wear masks, disposable or reusable apron over their work clothes, gloves and closed shoes. Gloves and apron should be changed every time before entering a different cabin”. As such to reduce the risk for clients and crew and the amount of PPE required to abide by the stated above, cabins will be cleaned and linen changed only once during your trip. Change of towels can be requested at any time. If you do not wish to have anyone enter your cabin during the trip, please advice your captain upon check in. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided in all public areas but not in the cabins. All relevant changes to dive procedures and cleaning of equipment will be explained thoroughly by the dive team leader in a separate briefing. Our P&I insurance will cover If there is an outbreak onboard the vessel and the passengers onboard need to be quarantined as a result, then this would fall within our usual Passenger P&I cover.
