Have you ever swam with hundreds of thousands of rays? Well, now's your chance! Every May-August we see super squadrons of mobula rays (a close cousin of the giant manta!) congregate right here in the marina. A sunrise or sunset tour is key!
We will meet up at Cabo Private Guide headquarters at 7am for equipment fitting and briefing. After an 8 minute walk we arrive at the boat at 7.30am and head out into the bay. We look for the mobula rays by watching them jump out of the water from the surface! We then enter the water and swim next to or behind the squadron so as not to affect their behaviour. We often find them right at the entrance to the marina, sometimes we have to venture further out. This tour is a perfect end to a dive vacation if you want to off-gas from your trip. We recommend the early tour as there are fewer boats in the bay than at sunset. However, chances of seeing super squadrons are the same at each time of day. We don't guarantee any sightings and they are more predictably seen in June and July.
If you are arriving marina said you need to head to Dock K and then head towards Plaza Nautica. When you see the Cabo Sailing office turn right into the Plaza and you will see us. If you are arriving roadside then just go to Cabo Cantina next to the Casino and enter the plaza from this side.
