Learn how to assemble, prepare, don and look after your snorkelling kit. Be comfortable with entry and exit techniques with snorkelling. Build on your confidence by learning some basics of snorkelling techniques.
We meet at the swimming pool around 30 minutes prior to the in water time, this allows you time to be Introduced to your Instructor and prepare your kit.
There is also ample time for your Instructor to give you a briefing to put you at your ease and discuss the safety considerations.
During the hour, we go at a nice relaxed pace so you are comfortable every step of the way. Areas covered are entry and exit techniques, use of the snorkelling equipment on the surface, good use of fins, signals used and snorkelling using the buddy systems.
If you are comfortable with the basics we can teach a few more skills. We also play some in water games to relax you whilst you learn. This goes down well with all ages.
Enter the leisure centre by the main door. Use the changing rooms to get changed. Walk into the pool area, we use the spring board dive pool, we meet here.
