YOU WILL DISCOVER HOW WONDERFUL NIGHTMARINE LIFE CAN BE AND APPRECIATE BIOLUMINISCENCE.
We will head along the entire coast towards the northwest of the island, until we reach our visit site known as Darwin Bay. Here we will do our snorkeling session. Passengers will receive a talk from the Guide who will let them know the briefing of the site and the standards. of security. They will also receive an aquatic flashlight, passengers will have time to equip themselves, then jump into the sea.
We will snorkel around the entire bay, observing the species that live in this place at night. All passengers have to follow the staff who will be in charge of the snorkeling session. We will be able to observe different types of fish, lobsters, prawns, reef sharks, sea lions, sea turtles, starfish, sea urchins, and so on. Best of all that you will be able to observe on this excursion is plankton, a set of organisms, mainly microscopic, that float in salty or fresh waters, most abundant up to approximately 200 meters deep.
There will be a time when we will turn off the flashlights to be able to observe the plankton, since it can only be observed when it is in absolute darkness. You will notice that, when you wave your hands, everything around you will shine with the brilliant light of these small microorganisms. You will also observe the sea lions as they pass near you, they shine due to the movement they exert and activate the lights of the plankton, which gives rise to observing a shooting star in the sea.
