Haliotis - Sesimbra Diving Center

Sesimbra is probably the most popular diving location in Portugal. Because of its orientation it is possible to dive all year arround. In Haliotis Dive Center you have male and female changing rooms, classroom, store and filling station. You can also find the biggest boat operating in Sesimbra, our Homarus with 12 meters.

Sesimbra is a pleasant fishing village, just located at 30km from Lisbon being protected by the Natural Park of Arrábida and its wonderful waters are part of the biggest Portuguese Marine Reserve: Luiz Saldanha Marine Park (where the majoraty of the dives are made).

The diversity of the sea life allows us to see a lot of species at different depths. At the moment more than 1100 of species of marine macro-organisms are known.

What to expect

We meet at the dive center where you can prepare your equipment and put on the wetsuit, then we start the boat trip to the snorkeling area in our searibs fast boats. You can stay in the water for about 1 hour with a wetsuit that will keep you warm. We provide water and some biscuits. After the snorkeling you can take a hot shower in our facilities.
