Snorkel the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef and explore the world-famous Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) at John Brewer Reef. Swim above vibrant coral gardens, spot marine life, and witness the awe-inspiring Coral Greenhouse from the surface.
Looking for the best snorkelling experience on the Great Barrier Reef? Your adventure begins with check-in at either Breakwater Marina in Townsville or Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal on Magnetic Island. After meeting our friendly crew, you’ll board a comfortable, custom-built vessel for a full-day trip to the spectacular John Brewer Reef, part of the Central Section of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
As we cruise out to the reef, you’ll receive a full safety briefing and snorkel overview — perfect for beginners and experienced snorkellers alike. All equipment is provided, and our crew are happy to assist in the water if needed.
Once at the reef, you'll have the chance to snorkel over colourful coral gardens, swim among tropical fish, and — for a truly unique experience — view the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) from the surface. Sitting between 6 and 16 metres of water, the Coral Greenhouse by artist Jason deCaires Taylor is visible through the crystal-clear waters, giving you a rare glimpse of this stunning underwater sculpture garden without needing to dive.
In between snorkel sessions, enjoy a fresh onboard lunch and relax on deck in the sunshine or shade. Our team will share fascinating facts about reef life, coral conservation, and how this marine park is being protected.
We provide light refreshments before heading back in the afternoon — sun-kissed, salty, and inspired by one of the most iconic snorkelling experiences in Australia.
