We are a small, yet professional dive operator based in Madiha, A beautiful coastal village in Matara. We believe in friendships that lasts a lifetime, and bonds which makes you feel special. Here at Polhena Diving, you are not just a client. You are our friend. We share our travel stories over a coffee after a good dive. We leave you some of the best memories which you will cherish for ages. We educate, We inspire... Marine conservation is one of our major focuses. The ocean, it gives us everything. And as dive operators, We are the ambassadors for the ocean. We organize frequent beach cleanups and underwater cleanups to keep our oceans clean. We are working on a coral restoration program and we are also the proud partners of Sri Lanka's only Turtle identification project. We are not just scuba divers. We are active protectors of our beautiful oceans.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 6+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Snorkelers who need prescription masks need to bring them themselves as the dive center does not have prescription masks.

What to expect

We will meet up at the dive center and gear up.

The Center will provide transport to the reef, it is only 10 minus away!

Important notice: This is not a boat tour. Polhena reef is a fringe reef and shallow, so there is no need to take a boat to snorkel, We swim from the beach to snorkel around the reef.

Our guide will take you a tour around the reef, swimming along with it's residence green turtles and other marine life.

We will come back after the allocated time to have a shower and enjoy a hot cup of tea, coffee.
