PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Compass Diving is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort and Green Fins Member based on Atauro Island, the jewel of Timor-Leste.

We offer a full range of PADI courses, dive/snorkel day trips or all-inclusive stay packages at our accommodation located in Beloi, east coast of Atauro. We also operate speed boats and a 17-meter catamaran, Sundance, on a private charter base.

Our experienced PADI professionals are ready to take you exploring the magnificent reefs of Atauro, as well as the many other range of dive sites located between Dili up to Jaco Island. We're focused on exclusive, small-group experiences. Name your wishes, and we'll do our best to meet them!

  • Being able to stay comfortably in water too deep to stand while using a life-jacket (life jacket not mandatory).

What to expect

Our daily trip starts with a pick-up from your accommodation, followed by a short drive to our boat departure point. From there on we'll head to Atauro Island (1.5 - 2 hours crossing) for our first snorkelling session.

That will be followed by lunch and some rest on a hammock by the beach before heading back to the boat for another snorkelling session. Another opportunity to rejoice on the secluded reefs of Atauro.

Finally, we'll head back over to Dili on another 1.5 - 2 hours boat transfer. Upon arrival, we'll drive you back to your accommodation with fond memories of the island.
