No previous scuba diving experience is required, but you must be in reasonably good health. A medical questionnaire must be completed, and in some cases a medical clearance may be required. An email will be sent at the time of booking with a link to complete the theory portion.

What to expect

Start with a quick 20–30 minute introduction to essential dive safety and basics. You can complete the learning portion at your own pace on your phone or computer with PADI eLearning®, or with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Participant Guide.

Next, your PADI Divemaster or Instructor will gear you up, walk you through how everything works, answer your questions about diving and certification, and coach you through a few simple skills in a pool.

Then it’s time to explore and enjoy, finish with relaxed practice time or join a guided open-water dive for your first real underwater adventure. Ready to dive in? Reach out to our team to schedule your Discover Scuba Diving (DSD®) experience.
