Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Please note that completing a theory portion is mandatory for this course (via eLearning or paper materials). If you haven't purchased the required materials or if they are not listed in the inclusions above, please ensure you add them at checkout.

What to expect

B

Your Discover Scuba Diving experience begins at Dive Cypria’s welcoming dive center, where you’ll be greeted by our friendly team. After a relaxed introduction, you’ll get fitted with brand-new gear and go through a simple safety briefing to understand how to breathe, move, and communicate underwater.

Next, we head to a calm, shallow dive site — usually Green Bay or a similar sheltered location — where you’ll practice a few basic skills in waist-deep water. Once you’re comfortable, your instructor will guide you on a real dive along the bay, where you may spot colorful fish, sea turtles, or even delicate seahorses depending on the season.

The dive lasts around 30–40 minutes underwater. After surfacing, we return to the dive center where you’ll debrief, browse your underwater photos, and receive a Discover Scuba certificate — your first step into the underwater world!
