Sierra Madre Divers is a PADI Five-Star Instructor Development Centre located 10 meters from the crystal-clear waters of Alona Beach. We have been pioneers in the local dive industry for over 25 years and are passionate about diving, the ocean, its inhabitants and are delighted to continue sharing our passions.

Our experienced international team of instructors offer both entry level and specialist courses, and our in house course director is always available to hone the skills of professionals. Our local divemasters guide daily excursions to some of the best dive sites in the Coral Triangle directly from the beach. We look forward to welcoming you to our office and guiding your next dive experience.

What to expect

On arrival at the meeting point participants will receive a brief orientation on scuba diving including safety guidelines and equipment use.

They will then enter confined water with our experienced PADI Instructor where they will experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the first time and practice some basic skills, then have the opportunity to do an Open Water dive under direct instructor supervision and explore the stunning marine life in the area.

The program concludes with a short debriefing session where participants can ask questions and receive feedback. Or if you'd like to continue to get certified, we can also give you advices of how to proceed.

Meet at the dive center

We’re located right on Alona beach between Jasz restaurant and Hayahay resort. You can go down Alona beach road from McDonald’s to the end (drop off/pick up area), turn left and walk along the beach for about 100m you will see Sierra Madre Divers on your left.
