The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives.
As a diver you will want to spend as much time as you can underwater, whilst enjoying your dive safely. When diving using compressed air the duration for no decompression stop diving will be shorter than if using Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx). The science and physiology behind this is covered in depth during the PADI Nitrox diver course.
The PAD Nitrox diver course includes the theory and practical techniques for diving with oxygen percentages of between 22 and 40%.
The course includes managing oxygen exposure and scuba diving equipment considerations while diving with enriched air.
You will learn the all-important skill of analyzing the gas in your cylinder, understanding the labelling of cylinders and testing requirements plus dive computer settings when diving with nitrox.
