Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
You will learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.
When you first arrive at SiDive you'll be greeted and asked to complete the mandatory form filling and then your PADI Instructor will go over the essential knowledge you need to know about before you dive. This is a Flipchart and takes about 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, prior to arrival, you can do the ew PADI DSD learning. Ask the dive shop about this. It costs php 450 each.
After you have got kitted up in your wetsuit you will be led to the sea where your instructor will help you into your BCD .
You'll start off in chest deep water where you'll learn how to breathe underwater and how to clear and regulator and mask and how to use the diving equipment.
Once you have passed the skills requirements your instructor will gradually lead you to deeper water for your Open Water dive. This lasts up to 45 minutes (depending on your air consumption)
We have so much to see at Kontiki marina. In fact we are extremely blessed. We have 6 x turtles living on our house reef, a big shoal of sardines, Lionfish, Nemos, friendly reef fish that swim all around your hands and head ( unlike anywhere else!), lizardfish, Ghost pipefish, Octopuses, Cuttlefish, Butterflyfish, Angel fish, Bannerfish, Wrasse, Damsel fish, Parrotfish and even the occasional Sunfish, Barracuda and Whaleshark pass by!
