No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping. You will need to have completed the PADI Open Water Diver eLearning program before arrival and bring your eRecord along. This is the theory and knowledge development part of your PADI Open Water Diver course.

What to expect

Day 1 – Pool & Theory

Morning: Welcome, paperwork, gear fitting, safety briefing
Pool session
Breathing underwater for the first time
Mask clearing, regulator recovery
Buoyancy and finning practice
Basic emergency drills

Lunch break

Afternoon: Openwater dives 1& 2
Performing learned diving skills
Debrief, plan for next day's schedule and open water dives

Day 2 – Open Water Dives

Morning: Dive site briefing & equipment setup
Continuation of skill learning,
navigation, controlled ascents
Lunch break
Open Water Dive 3 & 4: Navigation, controlled ascents, fun exploration
Debrief, log dives, certification photos & celebration 🎉

Tarpoon Lagoon is on the NW corner of the intersection of Palm Avenue and 32 street in Hialeah. Look for the big yellow building. We have plenty of free parking in front and back of the store. You will receive a separate email with check-in location and details. If you do not receive the informational email, please let us know.
