Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge or are short on time to take a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you!
Starting with collection from your accomodation right here in Port Douglas, we will make the short drive to the local marina, and from there board our dive vessel in time for departure at 0845.
During the 90 minute journey to the Outer Reef, your experienced instructor will take you through the most important information to help you feel safe and relaxed; as well as explaining a few useful techniques which you will use during the day.
Once in the water, you will practice a few skills just beneath the surface, so that we can see you are ready to head into deeper water. These skills include breathing; equalising; clearing the mask, and recovering the regulator.
After the initial practice is completed, we can then venture down onto the reef and begin to explore the incredible colours, structures and wildlife the reef is home to.
All three dives will be made under the close supervision of your instructor, while still allowing you the opportunity to enjoy the freedom that makes scuba diving such a fun activity!
On the way back from the reef, relax while learning about the reef, the things we saw, and we're sure you'll have plenty of questions about where to go diving next.
