  • No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Please note that completing a theory portion is mandatory for this course (via eLearning or paper materials). If you haven't purchased the required materials or if they are not listed in the inclusions above, please ensure you add them at checkout.

What to expect

Step 1: Introduction & Briefing
The course begins with a short briefing where you'll meet your PADI instructor and learn the basics of scuba diving, including dive safety, equipment, and the skills you’ll practice.

Step 2: Pool or Confined Water Practice
Next, you’ll get into a controlled environment, such as a pool or shallow water, where you'll practice essential scuba skills like breathing through a regulator, mask clearing, and buoyancy control. This ensures you’re comfortable before your open water dive.

Step 3: Open Water Dive
Once you're ready, you’ll venture into open water for a real diving experience. Guided by your instructor, you’ll explore the underwater world, encountering marine life and enjoying the beauty of the ocean.

Step 4: Certification & Experience
While the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course doesn’t result in full certification, you’ll gain a taste of what diving is like and can use the experience to decide if you want to pursue a full PADI certification in the future.
