Highlights

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a part of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but want to become a diver, or want to dive with a dive guide.This is also an easy way for children to start with diving.

As a PADI 5 star dive center, Andaman Dive Adventure Lanta offers Padi diving courses and also fun diving. We especially bring a personal and relaxed approach to scuba diving. Consequently you can dive in Thailand, with European safety standards, Cressi dive equipment and Thai hospitality. We aim not to be a 1 day dive operator, but a friend/family member for life. Many of our local staff have been with us for 10 years or longer, although our company is younger than that. Many of our guests have followed us diving from one dive center to the next all over the world and still meet up together. Many have evolved from first time divers all the way up to PADI Divemaster and Instructor and are now working for us or coming to us with groups from other parts of the world.

Requirements

  • You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through the Discover Scuba® Diving program.

What to expect

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, so you understand the basic principles of scuba diving. This covers the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course. The second is the Confined Water Dives, which teaches you basic scuba skills - the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course. Finally, you'll undertaken your Open Water Dives, where you'll use your skills and explore. This covers two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.
