If you've always wanted to experience an unparalleled adventure and see the world under the waves, that's where it starts. The e-learning option makes the most of your time: you will complete your online theory before traveling.
The e-learning course means that you spend time learning at home rather than on the spot, which makes it great if you have limited time. The PADI Open Water Diver [eLearning] course consists of three main phases: 1) Knowledge development: you will complete it at home, using the PADI elearning system. This will cover everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. For each concept, read the explanations and watch the demonstration in a video. You will receive the support of your local PADI Instructor by phone or e-mail via the e-learning system and you can program a personal orientation with them. 2) Diving in confined waters: these are training sessions conducted in a swimming pool or in water with conditions similar to those of a swimming pool. You will learn and practice the basic diving skills, as well as the techniques to protect yourself and you will also run on how to deal with a series of emergency situations in case they occur. The pool sessions are a lot of fun and offer the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the equipment and techniques in a safe environment. 3) Open water dives: this is what it is: make your first dives in the ocean! During the four open water dives, you will perform various diving skills both underwater and on the surface to make sure you are a competent and safe diver. The training part usually only takes the first part of the dive, which means that you can spend a large part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as your open water dives are approved by your instructor, you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means that you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters, for a lifetime!
