Earn your certification in 2 weekends! You are signing up for the confined water portion of the class here. Your open water dives can be scheduled by contacting the shop. Learn all the skills you need to seek adventure under the water.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. It begins with home study, also known as knowledge development, where you learn about scuba equipment, hand signs, terminology, and watch videos of scuba diving skills. Knowledge development is completed at your own pace – over a few weeks, or a matter of days. Study online or offline at your convenience with PADI eLearning®. Next, you'll practice scuba skills in a pool or calm water environment (confined water). During the confined water sessions our instructors and divemasters work to help you get comfortable wearing scuba gear and learn the essential skills used when diving. When you're ready, you can schedule your open water divers (included in the cost of the course). We use a quarry in Illinois where you will complete four dives over two days. During each dive you'll perform a few skills followed by a guided dive with your instructor. After successfully completing your four training dives you'll be a certified PADI Open Water Diver for life! Your certification card is accepted anywhere in the world to book diving adventures, rent equipment and dive independently with a buddy to a depth of 60 feet. If ever needed, you can quickly refresh your skills with the PADI ReActivate® program.
The class & pool weekend begins at the dive shop at 7:30am. After the classroom session we will meet at the pool at Prinicipia High school - 13201 Clayton Rd, Town and Country, MO 63131.
