Adrenalin Dive is a PADI dive facility situated in Townsville, a rapidly expanding city in the state of North Queensland, in Australia. Townsville is situated on the waterfront, with Magnetic Island just a 20 minute trip by fast boat.

Adrenalin Dive specialises in day trips to the wreck of the SS Yongala, and MOUA (Museum of Underwater Art) and the World Heritage Great Barrier Reef. Both sites are situated within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Because we are committed to protecting our natural environment, our day trips are ECO Certified by ECO Tourism Australia.

Owned and operated by divers, for divers, Adrenalin Dive is a founding member of SPRAY (Society for the Protection of Reef And Yongala), and has developed as a leader within the dive tourism industry due to a strong commitment to quality, safety, our environment, and professional service. Adrenalin Dive is Townsville's longest established day trip provider.

Our vessel 'Adrenalin' is a 15m flybridge cruiser. It is comfortable, stable, and is fully fitted out for diving, including a custom dive platform.

Dive trips to the Yongala wreck or John Brewer Reef depart from Townsville and Magnetic Island.

What to expect

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. Available also in eLearning, the first phase of this training is Knowledge Development, which includes lessons on popular specialty dives. In the second phase you'll practice underwater navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing. During the final phase, after some skill practice with your instructor, you'll make five open water dives. There's no exam because this course is truly about having fun and gaining experience. For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.
