First level of certification. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge to dive at a site near home or abroad, and become an ambassador for the underwater world. You can dive up to 18 meters.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is the theoretical development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. The second is confined water dives, i.e. training sessions conducted in a pool or in waters with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the equipment you will be using and to practice basic diving skills and techniques for diving safely. The third is open water diving. You will take your first dives in the ocean! During four dives, you will practice various skills underwater and on the surface to ensure you are a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, which means you can spend most of the time diving with the instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as the instructor approves your open water dives, you will obtain the PADI Open Water Diver certification! This means you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world to depths of up to 18 metres, for life!
The Diving Center is located inside the Tourist Port of Marina di Capitana (Quartu Sant'Elena - CA -).
