Get ready to see the world beneath the waves! You will have already completed the theory and confined water (pool) dives at home before the trip. Now it's time to put into practice what you learned during the four open water dives
This is the final phase of the PADI Open Water Diver course: open water dives. You’ll make the most of your time there by completing phase one (Knowledge Development) and phase two (Confined Water Dives) before you leave. These are the three phases that make up the complete PADI Open Water Diver course. Knowledge Development covers everything you need to know about basic scuba diving techniques, terminology and safety procedures. Confined Water Dives are training sessions conducted in a pool or similar conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the equipment you’ll be using and practice basic scuba skills and safe diving techniques. Open Water Dives are your first ocean dives. Over four dives, you’ll practice various skills underwater and on the surface to make sure you’re a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, which means you will spend most of your time diving with the instructor and exploring the underwater world.
