No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping.

What to expect

Your scuba journey begins the moment you arrive at Quiver Dive Team’s beachfront dive center on Coral Bay, Perhentian Kecil. You’ll be greeted with a warm welcome, introduced to your friendly PADI instructor, and given a quick tour of our relaxed island dive shop.

Next, you’ll dive into fun and engaging classroom sessions to learn the theory behind scuba diving — either in our cozy classroom or online at your own pace. Then it’s time to gear up and step into the shallow, calm waters just off the beach for your first confined water session.

In this safe, relaxed environment, you’ll get comfortable with your equipment and practice essential scuba skills, building confidence with each dive. Once you're ready, it's off to the boat and out to breathtaking dive sites around the Perhentian Islands.

You’ll complete four unforgettable open water dives, exploring vibrant coral reefs, spotting playful nemo, cruising alongside sea turtles, and discovering the magic of the underwater world.

After your final dive, you’ll celebrate with your instructor and new dive buddies — because you’re now a certified PADI Open Water Diver! That means you're certified to dive up to 18 meters, anywhere in the world, for life.

By the end of the course, you’ll leave with new skills, new friends, and a whole new passion for the ocean.

Quiver Dive Team located right at Coral Bay, Perhentian Kecil — just a few steps from where you arrive! Once you reach Coral Bay Jetty, simply walk straight down the jetty. Look to your left at the end — you’ll spot our Quiver Dive Team sign right away. Our friendly team will be there to greet you with a warm welcome!
