Garden Route Scuba can be found at 40 Marsh street, Mosselbay in the centre of town !

Our dive centre offer PADI courses from beginner to Pro and also dive charters in and around the Garden Route.

We have lovely shore entries or boat dives from our 12 person super duck "African Waters" with a full gear rental section, retail section, gear servicing and cylinder fills.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • No experience with scuba diving required. You must be in good physical health & be able to float for 10 minutes & swim 200m unaided & without stopping. Please note that completing a theory portion is mandatory for this course (via eLearning or paper materials). If you haven't purchased the required materials or if they are not listed in the inclusions above, please ensure you add them at checkout.

What to expect

Start your course from the comfort of your own home with the PADI eLearning®. While classrooms can be useful for anyone who prefers in-person learning, PADI eLearning® allows you to set your own pace and complete your studying wherever you feel comfortable. Then jump into the pool/confined water element of the course. This is where you’ll get to take your first breath underwater. You’ll practice using scuba gear with your instructor until you’re comfortable. During the confined water sessions, you’ll learn the basic skills in a progressive order. Each skill, such as ascending or clearing your mask, builds on the ones previous to it. PADI training includes practice “mini dives” to help you build confidence in your new abilities and allow you to try out your skills in a variety of scenarios.
