Sunset House

Sunset House is located on a coastal road overlooking the Caribbean sea.

The crystal clear waters around Grand Cayman Island offer year-round visibility, warm temperatures and miles of coral reef. Deep drop offs and wrecks create a home for spotted eagle rays, sea turtles and hundreds of colourful reef fish. 

Sunset House is an intimate, “scuba diving friendly” family-owned hotel with only 36 rooms. Rooms are divided among five two-story, buildings, set against a jagged, rocky shoreline provided extensive diving opportunities to guests. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from George Town. An intimate, white sand beach is a short stroll away.

Enjoy fantastic food at My Bar & Sea Harvest restaurant, a huge open-sided, thatch-roofed cabana overlooking the beautiful Caribbean and offering the largest outdoor bar in Grand Cayman. Winner of a 'Best of Caribbean' award, it's been a favourite among locals for 60 years.

Arrival

• The nearest airport is GCM, George town/ Owen Roberts International Airport
• Upon arrival you must keep the immigration card given to you; you will be required to present it to an Immigration Officer upon your departure or collected by the airline agent upon checking in.
• After you have cleared Immigration and Customs, go outside to the Taxi Dispatcher and let them know you need to go to Sunset House. If you have purchased a prepaid airport transfer at check out, the resort will pay the taxi fare when you arrive. If not, you will need to pay the taxi driver directly. 
• Please forward your flight details once you have them sorted. 
• The journey will last 10 minutes.  
• The resort does not tip the drivers, so if you feel that you have received good service and help with loading and unloading your luggage, please feel free to tip. As with any other business, if you aren’t given good service, do not feel like you have to tip.

At the resort

• Upon arrival to the resort, guests are welcomed at front desk by our resort staff. Guests will be asked to complete a guest registration form and leave a credit card on file for their incidental charges at the bar, restaurant or dive shop. Welcome information will be handed out and you will receive a briefing about the resort.
• Staff are on hand to escort guests to their room and help with their luggage.
• Check in time is 3pm onwards, but the resort will do thier best to accommodate early arrivals to the resort.
• The front desk is available 7am to 10pm.

Departure

• Checkout time is by 11:00 AM .
• Departure transfers can be arranged at the front desk.
