Derawan is an extraordinary and beautiful island. Must to visit for tourist. If you come to Indonesia, don't forget to visit Derawan Island because it is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever visited and its charm is still natural.very recomended.

Old old broken down place
The good reviews are from years ago..... Nowadays this old resort is not even a resort anymoore... Just broken old pieces of rotting wood... Such a pity... Shold be taken down and build a new one... Nobody can stay here.... Theres many places to stay on the island that are mych better.

The dive center needs an urgent renovation , as the furniture is quite worn out , the air conditioner does not work enough to cool the entire room , in the bathroom there was an opening in the wall where a mouse appeared during the day , the beaches of the island are not possible to walk barefoot as there are many broken pieces of glass in the sand which I had never seen before, and there is a lot of dirt on the beach, the food is reasonable. The diving is not very organized and I found 45min to be little time. The good thing is that we could see the whale shark and manta, and there is snorkeling activities together. But I don't recommend the place, I wouldn't return to this dive center or Derawan island.

Amazing scenery
the scenery is amazing, the food is tasty and fresh. visiting kakaban island, maratua and sangalaki. see jellyfish jellyfish in clear lake, along the kehe diang cave that connects the lagoon and sea. we were lucky the weather was very sunny to enjoy the beauty of nature on Hoping island

Another happy holiday in derawan
Visit derawan island with family n relatives for third time, stay again in derawan dive resort for 3 nights, had a really good time, this resort is so comfortable, rooms are large n clean, surprisingly breakfast much better compare to last visited, would be better if fruits n milk also available for children, excellent dinner, soo delicious and many variety. What is need to be improved is first the restaurant building, its over capacity during high season holiday, and the restaurant building seemed too old, services are improving a lot now, but if can up grade more would be very good, thank you for manager dhany, very capable staff, fast responses and very nice person. Me n my family would give 5 stars if those inputs above been done 😉, all the best for derawan dive resort
