Description
Murex Bangka Dive Resort has been guiding divers around the area for over 30 years, with guides experienced in both marine biology and photography.
All dive sites are within 60 minutes of the dive center. Our boats are purpose-built, spacious and shady, and each comes with a sundeck, fresh water box for cameras, toilet, long ladders, refreshments and safety equipment.
The resort owns dive gear to rent, and the preparation, heavy lifting, rinsing and storage will be handled by the dive crew so all you have to do is dive. The underwater conditions are ideal for Open Water and Advanced Courses, alongside specialties such as Underwater Photographer, Fish ID and Wreck Diver. Courses can be taught in English, German, Dutch and Indonesian.
The warm seas around Bangka Island are home to dugongs, pilot whales, dolphins, turtles, reef sharks, cuttlefish, eagle rays, great barracuda and four species of octopus. Look close enough and you can also spot harlequin and tiger shrimp, ghost pipefish or one of several species of pygmy seahorse.
