Villa Rosa is a beautifully stylish island paradise, combining the best of resort-style accommodation with laid-back Maldivian island life.
This guesthouse is located on Feridhoo Island, one of eight inhabited islands of the Alif Alif Atoll in the north of the Maldives. This chilled out little island offers relaxation and a window into the every-day lives of Maldivian folk. The island is still very wild, with an almost pristine beach and lush vegetation which covers a majority of the island. While alcohol is not permitted on the island, bikinis are welcome at the generously-sized tourist beach.
Stroll into the private garden courtyard, comprised of sugar-white sand and gently-winding palm trees. Wooden chairs and tables are dotted throughout naturally-shaded enclaves which, come evening, are lit by hurricane lanterns creating a cozy and atmospheric setting for dinner with your friends, family or other half. Expect to dine on freshly-prepared Italian, Asian and Maldivian fusion cuisine, with plenty of vegetarian options available.
With just five rooms, you'll receive a warm welcome and personalized, flexible service. Head out to the ocean to swim with an abundance of friendly turtles, plus manta rays at the right time of year. Take your time to explore the shallow and colorful house reef by scuba or snorkel. The seas are sparklingly clear and every Wednesday the team hold 'An Evening Dedicated to Marine Biology'. Come along and learn more about the amazing yet delicate ecosystems with videos, texts and live coverage delivered by Donatella, the resident marine biologist (1st Dec - 15 April only).
Please keep in mind that there is a dress code at the resort; "dress modestly in public places"
