Hotel Valentina

Staff, cleanliness room breakfast and location all was great actually, Everything was amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back. The rooftop pool is closed in winter so if you want to swim check on there website to see when its open ! :)

Hotel Valentina … absolutely amazing. Why this hotel is only 3 stars I will never know. We go to Malta regularly and have stayed in many different hotels all around st Julian’s Bay Area. This hotel is most certainly one we will return to. From the staff to the rooms to the facilities, can’t fault a thing. From turning up at reception Francesca was so welcoming and polite and made us feel great from the minute we arrived. Everyday smiling and making sure we were ok. The bar staff were also amazing and especially Romeno as he went out of his way to ensure we got our decaf coffee in the morning. The breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. Not busy and nice help yourself layout. The room was very modern and clean and comes with a kettle with tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The beds were so comfy and the pillows, plenty of them. Air con or ceiling fan was a great touch. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a clean and welcoming hotel. Truly a great team of staff and a credit to the hotel. We will definitely be returning to this hotel on our next trip later this year to Malta again as we have family who live there. If I was to find a negative it would only be the pool is not heated and slightly chilly to get into but as a good old Brit would say “it’s alright when you’re in” !!! There is building cranes doing work on the hotel next door at the moment and occasionally they go over your head while you are sunbathing but they were no issue at all to us and you hardly notice them. The hotel supplies towels for you too and I have to say the sun beds on the roof terrace are the most luxurious and relaxing bed to just relax and unwind on. The location of the hotel is near the bay and beach and all shops and bars. It also is near so many different restaurants and bus stations. I give this hotel 5 stars and I thank the staff for a wonderful stay. Trust me I don’t normally write reviews but this hotel definitely deserves the praise.

Modern hotel, very well located and clean. Welcoming staff and very kind. Very wide hourly amplitudes of the hotel. The photos of the site represent the hotel very well. 1st trip to Malta. We will come back for our next stay.

I found this hotel accidentally when I was searching for a place to stay during my visit to Malta. 1/2 and hour away from airport. I must say the stay was very pleasant and the staff assisted every possible manner. Clean rooms, good breakfast, nice and clean general atmosphere, very close to restaurants and centrally located. Francesca and Maya were very efficient at the front desk to assist with any of your queries.

Manager Francesca said our group could not stay in one room (there was five of us) and our party needed to be split. She mentioned upgrading to a Master Suite with a pull-out sofa bed for all of us to stay in, but it could not be done tonight due to housekeeping needing to open the sofa bed. We split our party up for the first night stay and Francesca said we could come back the next morning to upgrade. The next morning we went to the front desk to upgrade a different worker said she needed to talk to her manager. We waited in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for a response, just for them to say “we never said our rooms accommodated five people.” The manager lied and the next morning when we checked out she wanted to speak with us to explain that the rooms do not accommodate five people even though the first night she said they did and they overcharged us for the original stay. Awful customer service experience.
