My wife and I stayed in the bungalows which are spacious, comfortable, and surrounded by lush rainforest gardens, offering a true tropical paradise. The staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food is fresh and delicious, with a variety of dishes to enjoy. The central resort area including the pool, sundeck, bar and lounge is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the beauty of Kimbe Bay. Our highlight was the day trip to the incredibly beautiful crystal clear waters of the hot river, although the snorkeling along the hanging gardens was simply spectacular. Walindi Plantation Resort is a must-visit. This resort delivers an experience you'll remember forever. We would definitely return!

We enjoyed our bungalow as it had plenty of room and everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the fan helped keep us cool all night. It's wonderful to wake up to a view of beautiful Kimbe Bay, many lovely sunrises and bird songs different from those at home. The food was good, varied and plentiful, including the lunch meals on the dive boat. From the staff that gave us round trip rides to the resort, the front desk staff, the restaurant staff and many others, they were all friendly, helpful and quick with a smile. Dominick, in charge of the boats, dive staff and everything else related to diving was extremely friendly and helpful. The Dive Masters all are well acquainted with the Kimbe Bay dive sites and helped us spot all sorts of ocean critters, small to large. As this was our second trip to Walindi, we highly recommend it for scuba diving and there were many people who were there for sightseeing around the area as well.

We spent 8 days at the Walindi Plantation resort in February 2025 as part of a pilgrimage to try to find and visit the house that I grew up as a child and as part of my impending 40th birthday celebrations. I just cannot rate Walindi highly enough. Owners Ema and Shaun and all the other residents and staff made us feel so welcome; it was like being part of a family and I have to say that I was sad to leave at the end of our trip. We were upgraded from a plantation room to a plantation bungalow free of charge and the quality of the rooms and the facilities within the resort were just fabulous. The bungalows were large, airy and private with ensuite bathroom, covered veranda, power fans to keep you cool and a refrigerator to store things. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were serviced daily, with daily laundry being returned the same day and in perfect condition. The grounds are beautiful, fully secure and are being constantly maintained by their staff team. The gardens and beach are home to a whole host of amazing wildlife, including: toads, crabs and butterflies, as well as many beautiful wild birds. At Walindi you can swim in their pool, walk along the beach, swim in the ocean, go paddle boarding or kayaking, relax by the bar or look around their boutique. The dining room has a vast array of interesting corals and shells and just about every dive and underwater photography/exploration journal you could think of. There is free guest WiFi and desktop computers for guest use and tea, coffee, water and fruit is available all the time. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus have lots of options and everything is tasty with big portions. The staff always did a great job with special requests and everything was always perfectly cooked. Nothing is a problem at Walindi and their excursions and excursions team really give you the full authentic PNG experience. They really go above and beyond in terms of birdwatching or customising trips and have a team of very friendly and well-informed staff who accompany you every stage of the way and who are keen to tell you the history and folklore of this amazing place. Secure airport transfers are available and all of their staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We did the Birding tour, the volcano hike, the Garu hot river and town trip as well as the snorkelling trip to the outer islands and we loved every single minute of every trip. The owners even managed to make my dreams come true and totally exceeded my expectations by doing a lot of investigations in order to find the house I grew up in as a child. Not only did they find it but they went above and beyond and got special permission for us to visit the site for a half-day in order for me fo find my childhood home. It was really the most special day for me. I would love to return one day with my children and Walindi is the place I would stay for sure. Spent a Week Diving the Reefs of Kimbe Bay . The Crew and Resort staff were 5 star , The Diving was on another level seeing things i have never seen before and the size of some of the sea fans were prehistoric and the fish life was amazing, I will be back!!!!!!!!!!

Family owned. Very pleasant staff & spectacular setting. Accomodation private, spacious, safe, clean. Fans 24hr - great. Meals utilised local produce & abundant. Diving exceptional, mainly in the deeper waters. Insane visibility, coral & wildlife diversity & abundance. Birding pretty good especially Hornbills & Eclectus parrots. Volcano walk challenging - very hot & humid, but good to mix up visit
