Description

At the heart of the resort lies Atmosphere’s state-of-the-art dive centre. As a PADI 5 Star CDC Resort, Atmosphere understands the need for spacious wet facilities as well as the demand for advanced technology.

With this in mind, guests benefit from private dive equipment storage spaces, wireless internet, complimentary nitrox, a camera/video room with private workstations, a retail boutique, full equipment rental, and a spacious briefing area. The large infinity pools are ideal for scuba courses, with the ocean just a step away.

Atmosphere Resort & Spa is a luxury boutique resort located on the coast of Negros Oriental in the Philippines, a short boat ride from the world-famous Apo Island Marine Reserve.

Set within a former coconut plantation, the resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and enjoys a tranquil beachfront setting. With just 36 guestrooms, it offers an intimate atmosphere while still providing a full range of high-end facilities.

The resort features a PADI 5-Star Career Development Center with professional dive services, dedicated camera and video facilities, and easy access to some of the region’s best dive sites. Guests can explore Apo Island’s rich marine biodiversity, home to over 650 fish species and more than 400 varieties of coral, including brain corals, bubble corals, and giant gorgonian sea fans. Encounters with turtles, barracudas, and reef fish are common.

Beyond diving, the resort is known for its Sanctuary Spa, wellness programs, and yoga sessions, creating a balanced experience of adventure and relaxation. Dining options include a beachfront restaurant serving a mix of international and Filipino cuisine, as well as Ocean, the resort’s fine dining restaurant showcasing locally sourced ingredients on selected evenings. How to get there

Arrival

  • There are many ways to arrive at Atmosphere Resorts & Spa – by plane from Manila, by ferry from Cebu island or overland.
  • The closest airport is Dumaguete/Sibulan Airport (DGT). The transfer to the resort takes approximately 45 minutes, and a private transfer can be arranged for an additional fee.
  • Negros Island can also be reached by road from Cebu City, via a 4-5 hour car ride to the southern tip of Cebu Island. The ferry takes around 30 minutes. 
  • Ferries also travel from Cebu city to Dumaguete, and from Bohol to Dumaguete. The journey from Cebu city to Dumaguete takes four hours, with a short stop in the middle at Bohol Island.
  • Check in time is 2pm. Early check in can be arranged depending on availability and may be subject to an additional charge. 

Departure

  • Check out time is 12pm. 
  • Late check out can be arranged depending on availability and may be subject to an additional charge. 
  • Transferscan be arranged to Dumaguete Ferry port and Airport for an additional charge. 
  • The return transfer takes roughly 45 minutes.
