Turtle Bay Dive Resort

Like mentioned; its great place but think some could improve!! Let me start with the good things: a. Great staff in the hotel - Really helpful and really freindly. We got the room in the annex wing - which made us feel a bit secluded - however; they happily changed the room when we requested as soon as one was one available. Booked really good tours for us (both the tours were awesome) and so well planned b. The rooms are good - remember your not in a 5 star property - treat it like one - but had all the good things - good pool, clean bathrooms, nice bar near the pool, smiling staff, great arragements of tours c. Some people might like the location; some might not as its slightly away (about 10 mins) from the main areas - we liked it - though it cost us about 200 pesos for 2 people (and 1 kid) to go there - if you inform the reception - they can get you there in thier min-bus kinda thing - which was really cool Things that could improve a. Think they need a better restuarant (and slightly more smiling staff) - very limited options and even more limited philippino food options so we ended up going to main area almost every night to eat b. Think the people either at the dive shop | reception could give a bit more info on the house reef | snokerling tours that could be arranged etc - what can one do as an option etc - maybe we were mistaken and since its a DIVE resort should be treated as one - but guess with someone with a 9 year old - diving is not an option for the family - the DIVE shop only focussed on divers and nothing else - took us a day or two to figure out stuff and by the time it was time to leave - that was a major disappointment All in all a really good place but these little costumer focussed things could help attract families and not only divers

Overall I felt like this hotel was overpriced for what you got. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was nice. Bed was comfortable. It was too hot and the AC could not keep it cool enough, but they did also have a fan. The shower was only lukewarm, not hot, but not a huge deal as it was so hot. Restaurant was ok. Large breakfast portions were nice. They had a shuttle to the main town for 100 php per person. Laundry was crazy expensive 350php/kg, but it was clean. We appreciated that they arranged a driver for us to go to Osmena Peak and Kawasan Falls for us last minute (was 5000php). We did do 2 dives with the dive shop on site. We had been planning to do more, but were not very impressed with them, so did not do more dives. They didn’t seem eager to have us dive with them (didn't respond to our email ahead of time and didn’t acknowledge us when we went down to the shop to look at the dive sites/schedule and to inquire). However we did still book. The boat was not set up well for diving (no designated spots for tanks and awkward to get ready), but the main reason we didn’t do more dives was because they pushed to get us to jump right away without checking the gear or doing a buddy check. They did let me do my checks after I said I wanted to, but then again tried to get me to jump immediately again the next dive without doing buddy checks. This lack on concern for safety was a big deal to me. They did have good equipment. The fruit and tea/coffee on the boat was nice. Lastly we did appreciate the free cold water refill stations.

This place was truly spectacular—an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The rooms were not only beautifully designed but also incredibly comfortable and well-maintained, making it feel like a luxurious home away from home. The food exceeded all expectations, offering a delicious variety of dishes that catered to every palate. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, with staff members who were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive to every need. The pool area was a serene oasis, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the sun. The team at the pool bar were particularly delightful, always smiling and ready with refreshing drinks and great conversation. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning to this incredible place—it’s everything you want in a perfect getaway and more. Highly recommended!

The service here was fantastic. from the bar and restaurant staff to the dive shop and housekeeping. everything was great. the front desk helped me plan day trips to Kawasan Falls (which is a must do for everyone) and Oslob to see whale sharks and they even arranged a transportation to and from the sites. the dive operation was also top notch. my divemaster, Jessibell (sp) was outstanding and the boats were comfortable. fresh water, coffee, tea and mangos between dives, YAY. def. do the night dive in front of the resort. huge turtle, mandarin fish, leaf scorpion fish and more! you can catch a 5 minute ride into town for abut 200 pesos but make sure you have some small bills because the drivers always said they could not make change of large bills

We stayed at this resort on Feb 12-15 with family who also had booked in this resort. We loved how quiet it is when you’re at the resort yet downtown is only 7 minutes away. I would like the thank the staff for taking care of us. The very helpful guard, the informative front desk, the fun bartenders at the pool bar, the caring kitchen staff, the polite housekeepers, and the fabulous dive center staff! Thank you for an amazing time! We absolutely recommend this resort!
