Once we receive your booking, we double check availability with the dive operator and reserve your spot

2. CONFIRMATION

We usually get back to you within 24 hours to confirm that your booking is final

3. 48H FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD

You then have 48 hours to take care of other travel arrangements. Your credit card will only be charged after that period

Description

Dive Point Zanzibar is a small PADI dive center based on site at the Sunshine Marine Lodge. 

Diving takes place on walls, sloping reefs and sandy bottoms interspersed with rocks covered in coral. 

The team offer daily dive and snorkelling trips to the north-east coast of Zanzibar and Mnemba Atoll. Dive trips depart in the morning and come back around lunchtime. During the surface interval, snacks, fruits and water are served.

A range of recreational training courses are taught including Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Specialties are available. Course can be taught in English, French, Danish and Polish. 

Facilities include a training pool, spacious classroom, rental gear, small shop and storage area. WiFi is provided throughout. The spacious wooden dive boat is moored out the front of the resort.

Resort Description

Sunshine Marine Lodge is a rustic and intimate lodge on the north-east coast of Zanzibar, facing the Mnemba Atoll. 

Diving in this region offers clear blue seas, corals, schools of reef fish, turtles, dolphins and brightly coloured nudibranchs. The resort's prime position affords easy access to the best dive sites in Zanzibar. 

The lodge is comprised of 20 rooms spread out around seven thatched-roof, double storey bungalows. The grounds offer rocky cliffs, Tanzanian shrubbery with wild birds and views of the light blue, shallow seas. Three swimming pools and white sand beach are both complemented by padded sun loungers. 

The restaurant and bar serves a variety of fresh food and drinks all day. Board games are available.

Enjoy reef walking, biking, deep sea fishing, kite surfing or a spice or Stone Town tour. The new Body & Mind Harmony Center is available for yoga and relaxation.

How to get there

Arrival

  • A taxi will be arranged to transfer you between Stone Town/Airport and the lodge. 
  • If you choose to take an independant taxi, be aware that not all taxi drivers are familiar with the lodge and may confuse it with Sunshine Hotel, further south down the coastline.
  • Check-in starts at 12 noon

Departure

  • Please check out by 10am
  • A $1pppn infrastructure tax will be charged at check-out
  • A return transfer to the airport can be arranged by the resort.
