Guest Journey: Physical Distancing – Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people not in their party while moving around the property. All physical layouts will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing. Hand Sanitizer – Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas. Signage for Guests – There will be health and hygiene reminders throughout the property including the proper way to wear, handle and dispose of masks. Appropriate signage will also be prominently displayed outlining proper mask usage and current physical distancing practices in use throughout the resort. Arrival to the Resorts – Guests will enter the resort through doors that are manually operated by an employee. Employees will not open the doors of cars or taxis. Guests requesting bell service will be assisted and the bell cart will be sanitized after each guest is assisted. Sanitization Amenities – Upon their arrival, each guest will receive an amenity bag containing masks, hand sanitizer and a COVID-19 awareness card. A spray bottle of sanitizer or wipes will be provided in each room for guest use. Staff Safety & Training: Physical Distancing – Employees will be reminded not to touch their faces and to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from guests and other employees whenever possible. Hand Washing & Hand Sanitizer – Correct hygiene and frequent hand washing with soap is vital to help combat the spread of the virus. All Ocean Club Resorts employees have been instructed to wash their hands, or use sanitizer when a sink is not available, every 60 minutes (for 20 seconds minimum) and after any of the following activities: using the restroom, sneezing, touching the face, blowing the nose, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, smoking, eating, drinking, and going on break. Resorts Staff Signage – Signage will be posted throughout the property reminding employees of the proper way to wear, handle and dispose of masks, use of gloves (in positions deemed appropriate by medical experts), wash hands, sneeze and to avoid touching their faces. COVID-19 Training – All employees will receive training on COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols with more comprehensive training for our teams with frequent guest contact including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Public Area Department, Hotel Operations and Security. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Appropriate PPE will be worn by all employees based on their role and responsibilities and in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance. Training on how to properly use and dispose of all PPE will be mandatory. Every employee entering the resort will be provided a mask and required to wear that mask while on property. Gloves will be provided to employees whose responsibilities require them as determined by medical experts including housekeeping and property service attendants and security officers in direct contact with guests. General Cleaning Protocols and Outdoor Spaces: Cleaning Products and Protocols – Our Resorts use cleaning products and protocols which meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines and are approved for use and effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and blood borne pathogens. Public Spaces and Communal Areas – The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing will be increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces including, but not limited to, front desk check-in counters, bell desks, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys and locks, gym equipment, dining surfaces and seating areas. Guest Rooms – Industry leading cleaning and sanitizing protocols are used to clean guest rooms, with particular attention paid to high-touch items including television remote controls, toilet seats and handles, door and furniture handles, water faucet handles, nightstands, telephones, in-room control panels, light switches, temperature control panels, alarm clocks, luggage racks and flooring. Back of the House – The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing will also increase in high traffic back of house areas with an emphasis on the employee dining rooms, employee entrances, employee restrooms, loading docks, offices, kitchens and training classrooms. Queuing – Any area where guests or employees queue will be clearly marked for appropriate physical distancing, including for check-in and check-out. Retail Spaces – In coordination with our retail partners and tenants, guest occupancy limits will be enforced to allow for appropriate distancing at our leased retail spaces. Pool Areas – Pool seating will be configured to allow for at least six feet of separation between groups of guests. Employee & Guest Health Concerns – Our employees have been given clear instructions on how to respond swiftly and report all presumed cases of COVID-19 on property to the relevant manager for further reporting to the local authorities. We will be ready to provide support to our guests. Employees are instructed to stay home if they do not feel well and to contact a manager if they notice a coworker or guest with a cough, shortness of breath, or other known symptoms of COVID-19. Employees and guests who are exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID-19 while on property are instructed to immediately notify their manager (employees) or General Manager (guests). Providenciales Airport Protocols: The international airport located on Providenciales, Turks & Caicos has adopted new protocols to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection to travelers and employees when visitor operations resume. Many of these news protocols upon arrival, at the airports, include but are not limited to: Passengers will be allowed to carry up to 12 oz/350 ml of alcohol-based sanitizer through airport Security Checkpoints All travelers and staff members are required to wear face masks. The Ministry of Health will continue to have a presence at the airport post reopening to monitor operations and travelers Guard shields have been added and booths have been set further apart at immigration to allow for minimum contact Hand sanitation stations have been added in various locations across the airport. Airport restrooms and high touch points will be cleaned at a higher frequency. When you return, you’ll find a new, important level of clean awareness. What to see

One of the most popular draw to the islands are the abundance of sea turtles that seek refuge here. There is a great chance of swimming with these fascinating creatures during your stay on the islands.

Sharks and rays patrol the reefs, brimming with colorful fish and healthy coral. If you’re really lucky, you may get a chance to see dolphins or porpoises playing in the shallows.

Description

Dive Provo is a member of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame and gives divers access to the very best diving offered on Turks & Caicos.

The center is owned and operated by Alan and Clare Jardine, who both have 30+ years of experience in the industry. They run a regular schedule of a daily two-tank dive to the following areas: Northwest Point, West Caicos, French Cay, Sandbore Channel, Pine Cay and Grace Bay. Single tank dives are scheduled most afternoons and go out to the closest dive area of Grace Bay.

The center operates on the basis of  'diving freedom,' matching skill level and need with the experience on the day. Experienced buddies can plan and plot their own dives, while newer divers are offered advice on buoyancy control and navigation and may prefer to follow the guide in the water.

Resort Description

The Ocean Club Resort offers relaxed accommodation on an unbroken, seven-mile beach. 

Guests of the Ocean Club Resort also have access to sister resort Ocean Club West, situated less than a mile away. Most of the resort's 86 suites have balconies or ground-floor verandas with dining sets and lounge chairs.

The Cabana Bar & Grill Caribbean offers patio or beach dining. Every Monday there is live music, a free rum punch and hors d'oeuvres, on Wednesday it is ribs night. 

The other restaurant, Opus, features a selection of freshly caught seafood, meats, pastas and curries.

Three professional, fully-lit tennis courts are available as well as a fitness suite with treadmills, bikes and free weights. Spa Tropique - the on-site spa - was rated #1 spa in Providenciales on TripAdvisor.

How to get there

Arrival

  • The closest airport is Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
  • Providenciales is served by several major airlines.
  • Transfers on the island are via a local taxi service. (approx $20 per way, for 2 pax)
  • On clearing customs at the airport, walk outside and a ground transport representative will assist with getting a taxi.
  • Single taxi cost may vary; agree a price with the driver prior to setting off. 
  • The ride from the airport to the resort is around 20 minutes. 
  • The resort has a free parking and shuttle bus service.
  • Check in time is at 16pm.

Departure

  • Check out time is at 12pm.
