Escape the crowd and explore with us on an early morning blue water swim to look for Baja's famous mobula ray aggregation. See hundreds of thousands of mini-manta rays schooling in breath-taking numbers right outside the bay of Cabo San Lucas during the months of June and July. Follow this with a 2 tank dive on a reef after boat brunch.
We will invite you to check in and size your equipment either the day before or at 6.30am on the morning of the tour. We will aim to depart the marina at 7am and be one of the first boats out onto the water. We will spend one hour looking in the usual places for the rays jumping out of the water, which they start to do at first light. We will spend time snorkeling with them in open water. If the mobula rays are spotted near to one of our reefs we can choose to dive at that reef if your guide agrees the conditions suit experience. The idea of this tour is to optimise your encounters with mobula rays! Both at the surface and under the water while diving. There will be a light brunch before the 2 tank dives (burritos/fruit/coffee/cereal bars). The 2 tank dive will either be in the Corridor area or the Bay area depending on where we see the rays.
We are located in Plaza Nautica which is inside the big pink plaza next to the Tesoro Hotel. There is parking in the car park next to the Casino ($35 pesos an hour), or free parking a few blocks back on any white curb. The easiest way to find us is to walk to Cabo Cantina bar (not Baja Cantina) on the main road out front. Go past the bar to the Plaza Nautica Reception and then look left. You will see our signage outside under the shady tree If coming from the marina, the dive shop is located inside Plaza Nautica - a big pink plaza behind DOCK J just off the marina. Enter the Plaza and when you see the reception office the dive shop is across the courtyard.
