Dive two sites on Molasses Reef — one of the most famous reefs in North America. Explore vibrant coral formations, swim with tropical fish, sea turtles, and rays in crystal-clear water. Tanks and weights included.
Check in at Scuba-Fun Dive Center in Key Largo where the crew will help you with any gear rentals and answer questions about the dive. From there you'll head to the dock and board the dive boat about 30 minutes before departure.
The ride out to Molasses Reef takes roughly 35 minutes. Your captain picks both dive sites based on that day's wind, current, and visibility — so you always get the best the reef has to offer. The first dive lasts 45 to 60 minutes depending on your depth and air consumption. Back on the boat, you'll have a surface interval while the captain repositions to a second site on the reef. Your second dive is another 45 to 60 minutes.
The reef features a spur-and-groove coral system starting near the surface and sloping to about 40 feet — manageable for newly certified divers and interesting enough to keep experienced divers engaged. Expect colorful coral formations, dense schools of tropical fish, sea turtles, nurse sharks, eagle rays, southern stingrays, barracudas, and moray eels tucked into ledges. Visibility on a good day reaches 40 to 60 feet.
The boat returns to the dock after approximately four hours. The whole trip runs from about 8 AM to noon.
We are located in the heart of Key Largo, inside the renowned "Wyland" building at mile marker 99.2, featuring a huge marine mural by artist Wyland.
