Gordon Rocks is an extinct volcanic crater where Schools of up to 50-100 sharks (or more if you are lucky) can be found circling the rocks through the current giving repeated views of the amazing creatures. Turtles, rays and large schools of fish are also very common.

Min logged dives: +20 logged dives required
TO dive Gordon Rocks we require divers to have more than 25 dives experience and that you last dive was not more than 1 year ago.

What to expect

We begin the day by meeting at the DIVE AGENCY at 6.55am for a 7am departure.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday you will board the dive boat directly in Puerto Ayora for a 45 min - 1.5 hour boat trip to the dive sites.

On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday you will travel across the island by car (45 minutes) to the Canal Itibaca and board the boat for a 20-30 minutes trip out to the dive sites.

reach dive sites, receive dive plan and safety talk, put on equipment
weights and equipment check (5-10 minutes)
1st dive (max 1 hour)
1 hour surface interval where snacks are served. you can also snorkel (depending on the conditions)
2nd dive (max 60 minutes)
lunch is served on the boat
return to Puerto Ayora by 3pm
5-6pm you can return to the office to download the photos and videos and log your dive!
