Tofo Scuba

PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Tofo Scuba is Mozambique's longest operating dive center, and it's right on the beach!

All dive and snorkel safari trips set off in one of three 8.3 meter semi-rigid superducks powered by twin 90 suzuki four stroke motors. Dives usually take place at any of the 26 local reefs, frequented by large and small marine life. 

The dive team is made up of qualified and experienced boat skippers, PADI instructors, divemasters and divemaster trainees. 

The dive shop has a fully stocked bar and restaurant. With accommodation partners a short walk away, Tofo Scuba has you covered for everything!

Firm believers in continued education, Tofo Scuba offer a full range of PADI training courses including Nitrox certification. Whale watching trips are available.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 15+
  • Min. certification: Advanced Open Water Certification required
  • Min logged dives: 9 logged dives required
  • Have been diving in the past 6 months. Experience diving in current is a plus.

What to expect

Meet time is at 7.30 where your instructor will meet you and assist with equipment set up and nitrox analysis if certified. A short safety and orientation briefing will follow and then off to dive.

There is no multilevel diving here, we dive 2 minutes to decompression on the most conservative computer and then we begin our assent - strictly no decompression diving. 

Bottom times on our deep sites vary from 21 minutes on air to 35 minutes on air. Nitrox is highly recommended for diving in Tofo as it can add substantial bottom time.
