Argonauta Cala Gonone

PADI 5 Star Dive Center

The DIVING CENTER ARGONAUTA, Padi 5 star Dive Resort S-9538, operates on the east coast of Sardinia at Cala Gonone, an enchanting, unspoilt coastal village which provides a perfect base from which to explore the scenic treasures around. Cala Gonone looks out onto the Gulf of Orosei, a Marine oasis inside the Gennargentu National Park, known world-wide for its limestone cliffs which stretch for 40 kilometres, furrowed by deep gorges and codule (dried-out riverbeds). Cala Gonone is famous for the endless array of caves, tunnels and mysterious enclosures found near the surface of the sea. Many of these cavities have an above-ground portion that continues underwater.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: Open Water Certification required
  • Min logged dives: 4 logged dives required
  • The trip is for PADI Open water certified divers, none divers can join their partners if at least one of them is a certified diver. In case of none diver, please add on the check out.

What to expect

The program start at 8:30am at our facility, preparing the bags of equipment. once everything is ready, we go to the harbour, where the boat is ready for departure.

We head to the first dive spot, with our crew assessing you during every phase of the assembling of the scuba unit, and doing the briefing.

Once on the dive spot our crew help you to enter the water, with our guides already there waiting for you

During the surface interval (at least 30 minutes), there will be water and food, offered from us, while we move to second dive site.

Once there you will be helped changing the tank and assessed to get back into the water.

After the second dive there will be the lunch break, based on typical Sardinian products. in case of allergies or particular needs, you can let us know it and we will provide something suitable.

The third and last dive will be around 3:00pm, and after that we will head back to the harbour.

Our staff will take to you then to the shop, to rinse the gear and to fill the dive logs.

Located in the center of Cala Gonone, our facility can be easily reached with a 5 minutes walk from every hotel of the town. In case of need, we can provide the pick-up service.
