La Perla Nera Diving Ustica was founded in 1999 and is a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, the first PADI Instructor Development Center on the island of Ustica. Roberto, PADI Course Director, founder and owner of the dive center, is always present and available to offer personalized professional training. Together with his experienced staff, he provides courses for all levels, from beginners to professional divers.
Our dive center is located in the very heart of the village, just a few steps from all accommodations. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our reception team and invited to relax on our small balcony and lounge area, a meeting place where divers share stories, experiences, and memories from past trips. This is where our guests become friends, where you are never alone, and where you can enjoy a friendly atmosphere with both divers and non-divers, always supported by our highly professional staff.
Inside our facility, we have a dedicated classroom and a filling station capable of providing Nitrox blends from 22% to 50%, thanks to our Coltri LP 280 compressor supported by a Coltri MCH 13, and our pride and joy, the new Coltri MCH 22 equipped with a dryer and cooler, allowing us to mix any type of gas required.
An Askel booster enables us to guarantee fills for technical divers as well. We are a rebreather and tech-friendly dive center.
Our rental equipment area offers a wide range of gear, including fins, boots, wetsuits, semi-dry and dry suits, BCDs, regulators, and dive computers.
Our tank inventory includes:
– 10, 12, 15, and 18-liter air tanks
– Dedicated 15-liter Nitrox tanks
– Twinsets 10+10 and 12+12 liters for technical diving
– Aluminum S40 cylinders for oxygen
– Aluminum S80 cylinders for Nitrox blends up to 50%
– 5-liter tanks for children’s diving activities
La Perla Nera Diving is also a DAN training center and an active partner of WWF Sub.
